Normandie Tourism has just released a neat video showcasing the pleasures of a cycling holiday in Normandy. It’s just a few minutes long, and definitely worth a look. If I had the time and resources to make a Peloton of Two video, it might just turn out something like this.
The video depicts a perfect world for the cycle tourist – the sun is always shining in this version of Normandy. Looking back through my own pictures from the region, the sky was blue a surprising amount of the time. And even when it wasn’t, there was still an amazing variety of places to see, like the Château de Caen.
Still, it’s always better to come prepared and pack wet-weather gear in your panniers. You can even go completely retro and opt for a cagoule like the cyclist below who sailed past me like a yellow cloud on one of my French cycling holidays.
