I’m Andrew Bowie and I’m the author of two novels, Peloton of Two and Crossing Live. I was born in Scotland, grew up in Australia, and now live near Oxford in the UK.
I love travel, sometimes by bicycle. My cycling holidays have taken me to France, Denmark, Ireland and the UK. My travels in France were the inspiration for Peloton of Two, a romantic comedy set on a summer-long tandem holiday around France.
I love reading books set in faraway places. Now that I live in the UK, you can’t get much further away than Australia. So I chose Brisbane as the setting for my second novel, Crossing Live. The book is set in 1990, so it was a trip back in time too, to the days before the Internet, when phones were still attached to walls and the nightly TV news bulletin was how we formed our view of the world.
When I’m not writing, I work in Oxford. I am a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors.
